Wow! It has been almost a MONTH since I last posted! What a whirlwind the holidays have been! Between basketball season, traveling to see family, and working on getting our nursery done, we have been BUSY! We traveled quite a bit the first week of the break, seeing family, celebrating Christmas, and then spent three days at a basketball tournament in Eula. This past week we have been at home, juggling basketball and trying to get baby stuff done. Over all, the break was great, but not NEAR long enough!

The two week break seemed all too short but mostly because we have been going non-stop lately! Not looking forward to starting school again tomorrow, but in some ways I am ready to get it started because I know it is officially BABY season! We are anxiously counting down the days until we meet our precious little ones and know that the time is coming SOON!!! Speaking of days...today marks my 200th day of pregnancy!!! 200!!! PRAISE be to GOD!!! After waiting 6 years to even be one day pregnant, we are SO BLESSED to reach this milestone! For those who are counting weeks, we are 28 weeks and 4 days today. To say I have grown lately would be an understatement...this belly is HUGE!!! Each week I wonder how in the world it can get any bigger and it never ceases to amaze me...ha! Here is a little recap of the last 4 weeks...

We had two doctor's visits this past week. The first was a big sonogram at radiology to check on the twins and see make sure they are growing and developing on track. Both babies looked great! Our doctor said the ultrasound report could not have looked better...praise GOD! Little Miss Adelyn is still on the bottom (Baby A) and she did a good job cooperating during the ultrasound. She was measuring about 2 days ahead of what she should be and weighed 2 lbs and 10 oz. She had a heartbeat of 150 and was doing great! We even got to see her sweet little face which brought me to tears! Can't wait to kiss those sweet cheeks and hold her in my arms! Tucker on the other hand was a mess during the sonogram...as usual! He was not very cooperative in showing us his boy parts or his face. Little sister even tried punching him a few times to help him get in line and he still wouldn't move...too funny! He is a BIG boy already...measuring a whole WEEK ahead of where we were. He also weighs a little more than Adelyn at 2 lbs 14 oz and had a heartbeat of 147. Both twins were doing great...big and healthy and growing. We will probably have another sonogram like this one in a month or so to check and make sure that we are still on track!
On Friday, we had a doctor's appointment and I had my glucose test. We have not got back the results of the glucose test yet, but hoping for good news. Basically it would show if I have gestational diabetes or not. Things looked good at the doctor. I am measuring 34 weeks...which is 6 weeks ahead, but normal for twins. My doctor said that everything is going well and I am showing no signs of pre-term labor...which is great. He also gave me no restrictions, so I am able to keep working and walking right now. We will be heading back to the doctor in 2 weeks and probably keep going fairly often from here on out.
Several people has asked how long we have left or when my due date is...which is actually kinda a hard question...haha! Our official due date is March 27th, which is a 40 week calculation that usually goes with one baby. Twins usually come early...anywhere from 35-38 weeks. We are hoping to make it to the 37-38 week mark, which is right around Spring Break. After about 38 weeks, my doctor said twins don't do very well since they are out of room. So we are expecting to have babies sometime around the end of February, first of March, God-willing! We want them to stay in as long as possible and get nice and big and healthy so that we can bring them home! It would also be WONDERFUL if I can continue working all the way to Spring Break. That is my goal! 9 more weeks!
We ask that you continue praying for us as this part of our journey starts nearing the end! We are so thankful for all of you who have prayed for us to get to this point and ask that you remember us in your prayers the next couple of months. We are praying for continued growth and development for the babies and that they continue to stay healthy and INSIDE for as long as possible. We are praying that my body continues to stay healthy and can handle the stress and pressure of keeping up with two growing babies while I continue to work. We are already praying for the doctors and nurses that will be helping to bring these babies into the world and that they will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to make the best decisions for the health of our babies and me. And we are praying daily that God help mold us into parents and give us the hearts to raise these precious babies to know and love Him. Thank you for your partnership and love that you have shown throughout this process. As we get closer and closer, I will hopefully blog more often to keep you all updated! Love to you all!
