Those moments...

Life with twins is crazy! Most everyday is jammed packed with diapers, feedings, laundry, dishes, making baby food, cleaning up baby food, playing with toys, reading books, putting one baby to bed, wiping noses, wiping spit-up, wiping poop, putting the other baby to bed, trying to make beds, cleaning the house, making dinner, and the list goes on and on. I LOVE staying home! I love the craziness of keeping this household and family running! I love that my husband works so hard so that I can spend the majority of each day at home with my littles. I really actually enjoy the housework and the busyness of it all.

But what I really love....are those moments...

The moments when time seems to stand still...

When I get to stop my crazy, busy schedule and rock my precious girl to sleep. She seems to melt into me and rub her sweet little hands on my arms. She reaches up and plays with my hair and snuggles deeper and deeper into my arms as she drifts off to sleep. My stress begins to melt away. My worries disappear. Life seems to make perfect sense there in that moment. There are no dishes, no laundry, no spills to clean, no beds to make.

There is only me and Ady...rocking in rhythm.

Back and forth. Back and forth.

I know I should go lay her down in bed so I can get ready for school. I know that I have a million things to do before I leave. But in that moment, I can't seem to pry myself away.

Back and forth, back and forth.

I smell her sweet smell, feel her soft skin, and thank God so much for making me wait so long for this feeling. Thank Him for taking His precious time to make my blessings so perfect. Thank Him for the most precious gifts I could ever receive.

Back and forth. Back and forth.

Thank you God for allowing me to be a mother to this precious girl! Thank you for my sweet boy in the other room. Thank you for entrusting me with such a big task. Thank you for choosing me!

Dear Tucker and Adelyn,

Mommy can't believe that you are actually six months old! The past six months have FLOWN by! But somehow I can't remember life without you! I have loved every single minute of being your Mommy and I thank God every single second for the blessing you are in our lives! Daddy and I want you to know how VERY MUCH we love you! More than words can ever say! You have brought so much JOY and HAPPINESS to our home and we LOVE taking care of you!

In the past six months, you have changed SO MUCH! You are growing each day and learning new things! Just in the past month, you have both learned to roll over from back to front and are now rolling ALL OVER the place! You are never where we leave you and are starting to discover the world around you! You both have gotten your first two teeth and are starting to really like to eat food! You are both close to sitting up and are becoming more and more independent. We love watching you interact with your toys, each other, and others! You are both SO funny!

One of our favorite things is to watch you play with each other! You both are constantly aware of where the other one is and are always reaching out for each other! We have to keep an eye on you Tucker, because you sometimes play TOO rough with Sissy! You have a habit of rolling on top of her! But more than anything, we love watching how you two love each other! You are very sweet! One thing for sure...you two are SO DIFFERENT! You don't do anything the same!

Tucker, you are our good eater and are very easy to get down for naps! You have developed quite the personality and seem to be much more easy going! You still love your Mama, especially at bed-time, but you are perfectly content going to others! You love to stand up and stomp and love playing in the saucer! Teething and shots don't seem to bother you very much, you just need a little extra love! You are a slight bit more picky about food (like your mama) but really love milk the best. You can out-eat sissy for sure! It makes Mama sad that you don't like to be rocked, but you would really prefer just to be laid straight down...which is ok! Daddy sometimes sneaks and holds you if you are asleep! You love Praise Baby and watching golf and football. You are SUPER affectionate and love to give hugs and kisses! You are still our sweet little Bubba Bear and we LOVE you SOOOO much!

Miss Adelyn, you are STILL our fireball! You bring so much spunk and energy into our world and keep us on our toys! You love to laugh out-loud and shriek, even at 5:00 in the morning! You wake up with a smile and keep on going through out each day! You are not very interested in eating, but you do like trying new foods! We definitely know when you are done eating b/c you will spit everything out! You love to be rocked to sleep and held...which Mama loves! Your very favorite place to be in on my chest! In the past few months, you have developed into quite the Mama's girl in public! You prefer to nurse over bottles and really like having me all to yourself! You love to play and can entertain yourself quite well! You HATE teething and shots and have had a few pretty sad days lately, which Mama hates. You are our joy and our sunshine and we love you so!

I am so thankful that God chose me to be your Mama! Somedays are more challenging then others, but each second I get to spend with you is worth it! I hate having to leave you to go to work, but the smile on your faces when I get home makes it all better! I hope you know how much you are loved, by so many people. You truly are the answer to SO MANY prayers and everyone just loves getting to watch you grow! We can't wait to see what the next six months bring!

I love you forever!

Hope you all enjoy the pictures! We made it through our six month appointment pretty well! Tucker is now 26.25 inches (38th percentile) and 16 pounds 7 oz (26th percentile). Adelyn is 25.5 inches (36th percentile) and 14 pounds 5.5 oz (16th percentile). Both babies are growing and developing on track. They handled shots pretty well this time, but have needed a little extra Mommy time this weekend. Love to you all!
