A Cowboy and A Princess!

It has been QUITE an adventure the last few weeks! Our lives have been super crazy....but also super blessed! Pregnancy has been fairly smooth sailing so far! These babies are growing away and making me a tad bit more uncomfortable every day. There is no hiding the baby bump any more! It is there for sure! We are at 20 weeks 5 days and have been truly blessed with good health and a fairly easy last couple of weeks! Basketball has started and Derek has his first games this week! Woo-hoo! Go Daddy Go!
19 Weeks

20 Weeks

This Friday we had our BIG sonogram to check and see how the babies were growing and developing...and also to find out what these two little monkeys are!!! The sonogram went great! The babies were cooperating for the most part...Baby A was much calmer and laid back then Baby B. We specifically asked that the lady not tell us the genders at the sonogram so that we could be surprised all together at the Gender Reveal Party on Saturday. Every time the lady got close to the babies gender she would turn the screen so that we couldn't see. We enjoyed getting to see how much the babies had grown. Baby A was measuring 20 weeks 3 days and weighed 12 ounces with a heartbeat of 152. Baby B measured 20 weeks 5 days and weighed 13 ounces with a heartbeat of 158. They were both active, with Baby B MUCH more active then A. The sonogram lasted an hour and a half because they had to measure all of the babies' organs and sizes. We don't know for sure how everything is because the radiologist had to write up the report and send it to our doctor. We should hear on Tuesday how everything is for sure. Prayers are appreciated!

Our gender party was Saturday night. We had a lot of fun getting ready for the party and it helped keep our mind of the results. Jordan and Jaxson were staying at my parents on Friday and Saturday and Jordan became my mini-party planner. She was such a big helper! We had a place for voting as people came in and the most popular vote was Boy/Girl and Boy/Boy. There were very few who voted for Girl/Girl!

CAST YOUR VOTE!

HUGE THANK YOU to Jessica Boling for decorating our boxes! They were empty when everyone came in, but were going to be filled with either pink or blue balloons for the reveal! After everyone voted, we headed out to the barn to eat!

So proud of my banners...I am NOT very crafty!
Derek and Dad helped with the hanging decorations!

While we waited for the boxes to get filled with balloons, we played Dress your Guess. Everyone had to pick accessories to go with what they thought the twins were. For the boys, we had cowboy accessories. There were mustaches, bandanas, and sheriff badges. For the girls, there were princess accessories: tiaras and pink beads. Everyone got dressed up while we waited for the boxes! This was one of the most fun parts of the night! I was afraid people would not get into it, but everyone really did! We took a group picture, but I don't have those pictures yet. These are ones snapped from my phone!

LOVE THIS PICTURE!!!

Ummm...we are NOT having triplets cuz!!!

By this time...we were all SUPER READY for the boxes to come out! Leslie and Ben Ashlock had the balloons at their house and went to get them and put them in. Poor Jordan kept asking me, "What is taking so long???" I was wondering the same thing...haha! We had all waited SO LONG to know what these babies are!

Are they coming???

Please Hurry!!!
Finally the boxes arrived!!! We were so excited to open them! Derek told everyone how excited we were and how blessed we had been by having SO MANY people pray for these babies before they were even formed! So many of you have partnered with us in this journey and our babies are so blessed!!!

Hopefully the video upload works! Just in case it doesn't....here is a picture of the results!!!

A BOY AND A GIRL!!!

WE ARE SO BLESSED! We had SUCH a good time at the Gender Reveal Party and are so excited to be expecting ONE OF EACH!!! God has SUCH better plans than we could ever imagine! He knew these sweet babies would come in and make our family complete! We are now excited to know exactly what to be planning for! It is also so funny to know what these two are because they already act SO different! Our sweet Baby A that was so calm for the sonogram is our precious little girl! And our wild child that was moving all over the place is our BOY! Mr. Baby B has been the one that has been messing with my ribs for the past few weeks! He is definitely more active than his sister!!!

After the party it was so neat to be able to pray specifically for these two! Derek prayed that night and thanked God for our son and daughter! Tears came to my eyes because it is so neat to be able to know exactly who we are praying for now! God is SO GOOD!!! We are working on names...pretty sure on first names for both, but our little boy does not have a middle name yet. We will be sure and let you know when we decide for sure!!!

Thank you thank you thank you dear friends for all your sweet prayers! Our babies are so loved already! We are waiting to hear back on the sonogram results and have a doctor's appointment next week to check on these monkeys! I will update next week after the appointment! Love to you all!

I know this is a LONG bible verse...but really...there are NOT ENOUGH words to PRAISE our God for His work in our lives!

PSALM 145

I will exalt you, my God the King;
    I will praise your name for ever and ever.
Every day I will praise you
    and extol your name for ever and ever.
Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;
    his greatness no one can fathom.
One generation commends your works to another;
    they tell of your mighty acts.
They speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty—
    and I will meditate on your wonderful works.[b]
They tell of the power of your awesome works—
    and I will proclaim your great deeds.
They celebrate your abundant goodness
    and joyfully sing of your righteousness.
The Lord is gracious and compassionate,
    slow to anger and rich in love.
The Lord is good to all;
    he has compassion on all he has made.
10 All your works praise you, Lord;
    your faithful people extol you.
11 They tell of the glory of your kingdom
    and speak of your might,
12 so that all people may know of your mighty acts
    and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.
13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
    and your dominion endures through all generations.
The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises
    and faithful in all he does.[c]
14 The Lord upholds all who fall
    and lifts up all who are bowed down.
15 The eyes of all look to you,
    and you give them their food at the proper time.
16 You open your hand
    and satisfy the desires of every living thing.
17 The Lord is righteous in all his ways
    and faithful in all he does.
18 The Lord is near to all who call on him,
    to all who call on him in truth.
19 He fulfills the desires of those who fear him;
    he hears their cry and saves them.
20 The Lord watches over all who love him,
    but all the wicked he will destroy.
21 My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord.
    Let every creature praise his holy name
    for ever and ever.
